Antonio Ceci was born in Modugno(BA) on 04-03-1982.
He began playing music when he was six years old, starting with the trumpet, the violin and the piano. Although he didn't study these instruments in a thorough manner, such early experiences proved very useful because of the theoretical knowledge of classic music they provided him with
(harmony and solfeggio). Moreover, he thus managed to acquire a studying method, something which is usually lacking in modern music contexts.
When he was about 18 years old he got increasingly interested in rock music and in guitar playing. He became so devoted to his instrument that he would never separate from it, spending all his time practising.
In fact his lyfestyle changed completely, as since then he has been tenaciously committed to realizing his music aspirations without compromises (on average he practises guitar about 8 hours a day).
In 2004 he got a first and second level degree at the highly influential Lizard school in Fiesole, obtaining all A marks. He did the training for this exam completely on his own, without attending any lessons. Afterwards, since the Lizard school requires at least some attendance to lessons and Antonio lives in Bari, which is very far from Firenze, where the Lizard school is located, he had to give up the idea of getting a full degree.
Between 2004 and 2005 his intense practicing caused him a tendinitis, forcing him not to play guitar for a long time, until a distinguished orthopedic in Bari (Dr.Musajo Somma) succeeded in solving his problem. So in the second half of 2005 he recovered completely and could begin afresh practising.
This period of time overlaps with the forming of his main band, "EVOLUTION", with which he continued his composition work and live activity.
In 2006 Antonio began to upload on the Web a set of virtuoso videos, in which he plays some of the most famous pieces of the rock-metal guitar player archive, spread in the last few decades, and he has obtained lots of success among critics and the general public (Symphony X - "In the dragon's den", "Sea of lies" - Symphony X , "Daddy, Brother, Lover, little boy" - Mr.Big).
At the moment Antonio focuses his professional work on teaching rock-metal guitar playing either at the school il Coretto in Bari, or privately, in his place.
